Fighting Irish bury the Prep Panthers to end the regular season!

The No. 4 Irish used a 16-0 run to open the second half and beat the No. 8 Panthers 62-48 to wrap up the regular season. The Irish will now enter the Metro League Playoffs. To view the 2018 Metro League 3A Boys Boys District Championship bracket click HERE.

O’Dea’s longtime coach, Monte Kohler, gets another victory shower – 22 years later in 38-11 title win over Rainier Beach.

The 33-year O’Dea High School football coach with the second-most wins in state history behind one Tumwater legend was doused as the final seconds ticked off the clock in a 38-11 victory over Rainier Beach for the 3A state title on Friday in the Tacoma Dome.

O’Dea Student collects 18,000 lbs of food for Northwest Harvest!

Four years and more than 18,000 pounds of donated food – it’s quite the legacy high school student Sam Catherall is leaving behind.

When he began as a freshman at O’Dea High School, he collected more than 1,000 pounds of canned food for his school food drive, which is part of Home Team Harvest, the largest food drive in the state.

As a sophomore, he gathered more than 1,500 pounds. Junior year, about 2,500 pounds. This year, he wanted to hit 5,000 pounds.

Parker D’Anna named Seahawks Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to O’Dea senior, Parker D’Anna, on being named the CenturyLink Athlete of the Week for his performance against Mercer Island in the first round of the State Tournament. The Seahawks came to O’Dea and presented Parker with a $1,000 grant to O’Dea’s athletic department, a customized football, and a customized 2017 Seahawks jersey.  Parker will also be recognized on the field at the December 3rd Sunday Night Football game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
