O’Dea Golf
The O’Dea High School Golf Program is steeped in talented Alums with victories and many memorable moments both on and off the course. Anyone that has ever golfed for O’Dea will tell you that they have special memories from those times.
The golf program’s history is anchored by Master’s Champion Fred Couples. Couples won two individual State Titles for O’Dea in 1976 and 1977. In 2008 O’Dea won its first State Team title with the help of Cory Mehl, Tyler Kato, and Sandy Vaughan who all placed in the top 15 in state.
Hundreds of young men have had the good fortune to play golf at O’Dea, showing good sportsmanship in both wins and losses. Golf at O’Dea is a very special sport; the boys learn patience, discipline and enjoy great comradeship.
