O’Dea Tennis

The O’Dea High School Tennis Team competes in the spring as part of the highly competitive Metro League, which boasts a history of sourcing State Champions.

The Fighting Irish compete in the following matches:

  • 2 boys singles
  • 3 boys doubles

The team that wins at least 3 of the 5 matches during a head-to-head match-up is deemed the winner of the competition!

The tennis schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.

Coach's Corner

O’Dea Tennis is coached by Jason Neri. Jason is originally from Los Angeles, CA. He is a certified UPSTA instructor with over 15 years of experience in coaching all ages in different skill levels. He is currently an professional instructor at Tennis Center Sand Point.

In the past, he played D3 tennis for Glendale College and had coached Varsity team at University Prep in 2008-2013. Jason brings great energy and passion to the sport of tennis. His favorite tennis topics include stroke technique, footwork, positioning and strategy. Jason likes to have fun on the court and provide the necessary tools for students to be successful players. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife Grace and 2 kids Lorenzo (O’Dea Class of 2024) and Charlyn. He loves watching movies, football and anything on Tennis Channel.
