O’Dea appreciates all of the hard work you have contributed over the past four years and we hope this page will help you enjoy this exciting time that is approaching while staying organized and well-informed. Please note: O’Dea graduates will have access to their O’Dea office 365 account and data through August of their graduating year and are responsible for backing up their data prior to September 1st. 

IMPORTANT DATES & INFORMATION:

May 30, 2023: Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal & Practice, 8:00AM
Senior Arrival Time: 7:45AM

  • Rehearsal begins at 8:00AM in the gym.
  • All seniors must be present at practice to walk in graduation.
  • Appearance code is Mass attire (white dress shirt, maroon/gold tie, dress pants or khakis).
  • If seniors notified us about a gown or cap that does not fit, it needs to be brought with them to practice. They will exchange it at the beginning of rehearsal. This exchange cannot be done on the day of graduation.

May 30, 2023: Alumni Senior Class Brotherhood Luncheon – 11:30AM-1:30PM

  • At the conclusion of graduation rehearsal, students will walk as a class to the Washington Athletic Club for the Alumni Senior Class Brotherhood Luncheon from 11:30am-1:30pm.
  • Lunch is free of charge.
  • At the conclusion of lunch, students are dismissed.

May 31, 2023: Baccalaureate Mass – 1:00PM, St. James Cathedral (804 9th Ave, Seattle, WA)
Senior Arrival Time: 12:00PM in the O’Dea Gym

  • Families are welcome to attend Baccalaureate Mass.
  • Seating will be first-come, first-served.
  • Doors to St. James Cathedral will open at 12:00PM (Noon).
  • Baccalaureate Mass will be livestreamed & recorded here.
  • Students must be dressed in Mass attire and dress shoes, a full cap, gown, and stole.
  • Students must arrive at O’Dea dressed and ready to go at 12:00PM (Noon).

May 31, 2023: Class of 2023 Graduation – 7:00PM, Town Hall Seattle (1119 8th Ave, Seattle WA)
Senior Arrival Time: 5:30PM in the O’Dea Gym

  • Each graduate will receive six (6) tickets for family and friends to attend. Seniors will receive their tickets at rehearsal.
  • Graduation will be live-streamed.
  • Admittance is by ticket only and doors to Town Hall will be open at 6:00PM. No one will be admitted early.
  • Seniors need to line up in the O’Dea gym, dressed in Mass Attire, dress shoes, cap, stole, tassel and gown at 5:30PM.
    • Caps and gowns may not be modified or decorated.
    • Leis may be worn at the conclusion of graduation.
  • O’Dea will not validate parking at Cabrini for this event.

  • ADA seating is available by request. Please contact Mr. Sylvester as soon as possible.

RECEIVING DIPLOMAS:

  • During the Graduation Ceremony, students will receive a diploma cover only.
  • Diplomas will be given to students following the All Night Party only if all tuition and fees are current.
  • Athletic uniforms must be turned in by Tuesday, May 30th at 2:00PM to their respective coach or Coach Kohler. After that time, there will be a hold placed on their diploma.
  • No uniforms may be taken to the Main Office. 
  • Any academic failures will result in a hold placed on their diploma.
  • Any students with a loaner Surface must return the Surface by 2:30PM on May 26th.

May 31, 2023: Senior Escape All-Night Party – 10:00PM-5:00AM
Senior Arrival Time: 10:00PM in the O’Dea Gym

  • Graduates need to report to the O’Dea gym by 10:00PM.
  • Graduates will not be able to use their phones during the party.
  • Relaxed dress is appropriate for the party and closed-toe shoes are required.
  • In the event of an emergency, parents can contact 206-923-7533 to reach their son during the party.
  • It is recommended that parents pick up their son at 5:30AM at O’Dea. It is not recommended that they drive or that their cars be left in the parking lot overnight. We are not responsible for any theft or damage to cars. This may be the last time they are all together as a class and their last O’Dea bus ride!
