O'Dea High School

Financial Aid – Need Based Aid

O’Dea High School is committed to supporting families with need-based tuition assistance and believe all qualified students should have the opportunity to receive a Catholic education regardless of their financial situation. We take pride in the socio-economic diversity of our student body and consider it an integral part of our student experience. With our community’s support we give over $2 million in need-based tuition assistance. The application process is open from October 3, 2023 to December 31, 2023. However, we recognize that sometimes a family’s financial situation may change at other times of the year. If this happens to you, we encourage you to reach out to Eamon Sylvester, Director of Financial Aid, at any time.

Merit Awards

O’Dea also awards a small number of merit-based scholarships to incoming freshmen who have distinguished themselves through outstanding academic achievement, personal excellence, service, and leadership. Edmund Rice Leadership Award Scholar’s receive a scholarship of $3,000 per year for their 4 years at O’Dea. There is no application for these awards, and they do not require any demonstrated financial need. Students are notified of the award in their acceptance letters.
