Hybrid Learning Updates

Posted March 9, 2021

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in supporting a safe learning environment and accommodating our hybrid learning model. As public health guidelines related to COVID-19 evolve, we will continue to adjust programming as we strive to provide an exceptional educational experience for all members of the O’Dea community.

To accommodate a more synchronous academic and co-curricular schedule, we will implement a revised class schedule beginning Monday, March 15th. The changes include ending classes at 1:25 pm and introducing a Continuous Learning (CL) period from 1:30PM-2:30PM, daily. CL is an excellent opportunity for students in school and at home to connect with their teachers for additional support. A link to the new class schedule is available here. Additionally, our Wednesday late start schedule now will have class beginning at 8:45AM.

As previously communicated, we will continue with our “25% hybrid model” through April 1st. Following the Easter Holiday, on Monday, April 12th, we will increase the number of students learning on campus by introducing a “50% hybrid model.” In the new model, all students will have an opportunity to attend classes for five consecutive days on alternating weeks. The new cohorts will be Cohort 1 (Last Name A-K) and Cohort 2 (Last Name L-Z), alternating one week on campus and one week at home. To assist in planning for an increase in students on campus, please complete the Hybrid Learning Intent Form.
