Where do students eat lunch and is there a lunch program?

Freshman and Sophomore students each lunch across the street in the Cathedral Kitchen cafeteria.  O’Dea does not offer a lunch program where students can purchase food.  Junior and Senior students have off-campus lunch privileges.

Does O'Dea provide transportation to/from school?

O’Dea High School does not provide transportation to and from school for students.  But, with the proximity to Downtown Seattle and the number of routes that come through the First Hill neighborhood, students are able to conveniently take public transportation to and from school.

Does O'Dea accept international students?

At this time, O’Dea does not accept international students.  Please contact Admissions Director, Kristian Patterson, with further questions.

Where does O'Dea celebrate Mass and Liturgies?

All holy days of obligation are celebrated at the beautiful St. James Cathedral. Prayer services (for example, Thanksgiving and Christmas) are celebrated in the O’Dea gymnasium.

How long has O'Dea been open?

O’Dea High School was opened in 1923 by the Christian Brothers of Ireland.

Where do O'Dea student athletes practice and how do they get there?

Basketball and wrestling practices, games and matches take place on campus in our gymnasium.   All other sports have satellite practice and home locations.  Student-athletes are bused to and from campus by coaches on O’Dea buses.

Is parking available for students?

O’Dea High School has a limited number of parking spaces available for student use in our parking lot.  For this reason, spaces are typically reserved for senior and junior student drivers with priority given to carpools.  Students must complete a parking application and submit the parking payment fee to the Dean of Students by the posted deadline.

Where can I buy merchandise and logo gear?

We carry logo items at the School Store available for purchase by visiting the Main Office.  You can also customize orders online through the O’Dea High School Sideline Store.

How can I get a copy of my diploma?

O’Dea High School does not keep copies of diplomas for graduated students.  Diplomas can, however, be ordered at cost.  Please contact the Registrar with any further questions.

Does O'Dea have summer camps?

O’Dea offers football and basketball camps during the summer for grade school students.  Please direct any questions about these camps to the Athletic Director, Monte Kohler.
