O'Dea High School

Celebrate O’Dea!

Celebrate O’Dea was an incredible success raising over $1,150,000. This is a true testament to our incredible O’Dea community and the value you place on an O’Dea education. We appreciate the hard work of our chairs, Shannon Gardner and Giselle Pavlovec, and the many people who volunteered their time and talents to make this event possible.

This year’s fund-a-need helped raise money to renovate the library into a new Student Resource Center. Sons Kristian and Kristopher Patterson, announced a $300,000 challenge match on behalf of their late father, Mike Patterson. Roy Simperman generously agreed to double this match. We are grateful for the $250,000 already donated by the community and will continue to reach out and ensure we raise an additional $50,000 to meet this challenge.

The goals of the Student Resource Center, which we plan to open this Fall, are to ensure:

  • Support services are available to students in one common location;
  • Students will receive the best possible support from our counseling department in both private and public situations;
  • Students will have improved space for quiet study and testing;
  • Students will have space for collaborative work;
  • Students will continue to have a largegathering space that providesa safe and warm environment before school and duringlunch;
  • Faith formation will be enhanced with our Campus Minister in a visible location among the students and a greater ability to interact with them;
