O'Dea High School

Irish Cup

O’Dea has a longstanding tradition of academic and athletic success.  This tradition is grounded in a unique competitive spirit which drives O’Dea students to work hard to succeed and win with honor.  O’Dea’s Irish Cup is awarded each year to the House that demonstrates excellence in five areas: Academics, Service, Spirit, Citizenship and House Games. The goal of the Irish Cup is to promote healthy competition that encourages academic success, boosts spirit, and enhances school pride.

Congratulations to Kilkenny House for winning the 2016-2017 Irish Cup! Under the leadership of House Dean Joe Cronin and Senior House Captain Tony Flor, Kilkenny House finished 40 points ahead of second-place Waterford House. It was a close battle all year and the Irish Cup ceremony was just one highlight of a fabulously fun House Spirit Day full of brotherhood and connectedness within our O’Dea community.
