O'Dea High School

On Tuesday, November 5th, five O’Dea students attended the IMPACT! Safe Schools conference. This event brought local high schools together to discuss the important topics of mental health and youth suicide prevention. Students participated in workshops and listened to a speech about the importance of de-stigmatizing mental health from former Seattle Seahawk, Doug Baldwin. The students who attended were (left to right) Reeves Davidson ’22, Juan Pablo Perez ’20, Alex Duong ’20, John Christofilis ’21, and Isaiah Needham ’20. A special thanks to Juan Pablo Perez and Alex Duong who dedicated their time to helping plan this amazing event. Students left with ideas that they hope to now incorporate at O’Dea.
