The O'Dea golf team has turned into a very powerful program. The teams from 2005-2007 were Metro champs. "07 won Districts and that same team won State in 2008.

Fred couples won two state individual titles while at O'Dea but the 2008 teams win was the first ever for an Irish team! Cory Mehl(Santa Clara), Sandy vaughan(Western Washington) and Tyler Kato were the Kingpins on these teams.

The 2009-2010 team is lead by Tyler (Senior) who averages slightly under par. Dan Nelson (Junior) andDavid Fonua(Frosh) both shoot par consistantly. Michael Schaloum is an excellent Fresman addition.
The remaining players , Chad Lehman (Senior), Ryan Beltran(Soph), Max Thornes (Junior) and Michael McClean (Soph) are all able to post great scores too.
The team was 8-1 this year, finished third in Metro League, third in Districts, Tyler Kato was Metro champ and Tyler, Dan Nelson and David Fonua will be going to State this spring.

Try outs for the 2010 team will be in late August (six spots will be open).
