Ways to Volunteer
There are many volunteer opportunities available for parents and guardians of O’Dea students. While we do not require specific time commitment, we encourage parent support and participation whenever possible.
Please take a look at the volunteer opportunities available below and contact the lead if you are interested in helping. A SignUp Genius will be available prior to events which will provide additional information regarding exact roles, times, and location. We thank you, in advance, for your support.

Main Office
Front Desk: Parent volunteers needed to fill in at the front desk on occasion. Duties include answering the phone and assisting students and visitors that enter the office. Parent would either be scheduled ahead of time, or on-call in the case of illness and/or emergency.
Mothers’ Club

Bite of O’Dea: We need a strong committee to help organize things such as entertainment, food and drink, games, set up/tear down and marketing to name a few. This is a social event and a great place to meet other moms!
Deck the Halls: Every year the Mothers’ Club spends a couple hours decorating the school with Christmas cheer. We provide the decorations and you come with your Christmas spirit!
Christmas Family Project: O’Dea adopts a handful of families every year to help make their Christmas bright. We need lots of parents to help the boys wrap the gifts as well as drive the gifts to the families’ homes. Donations for this project are also happily accepted (wrapping paper, gift boxes, scissors, tape, tags).
Basketball Concessions: The Mothers’ Club organizes the concessions for the O’Dea Basketball home games. We are looking for folks to help with set up, sales and tear down.

Football Home Games – Admissions: Work with the assistant athletic director and Spanish teacher Gabriella Botello in welcoming fans into the stadium and running admissions. This is a fantastic way to meet alumni.
Football Home Games – Merchandise Sales: Help to set up, sell, and tear down the O’Dea logo wear. This is a great opportunity to meet other dads.
Football Home Games – Chain Gang: Work directly with the officiating crew in making downs and distance. Can’t get a better seat to O’Dea football than this!
