Br. John Dornbos

At the opening mass for O’Dea High School, this year 2011, Fr. Michael Ryan the pastor said, “Jesus Christ is at the center of O’Dea High School.” This presence is what all of us at O’Dea believe, and it is what guides our programs and participation. And yet we know that O’Dea serves Catholics and non-Catholics. We assume that our students can accept this belief, or at least understand it and feel comfortable with it if from another faith.

Pastoral Counseling deals with these faith issues and how they play out in the lives of the students and families. The goal of such counseling is for students to feel at ease in this setting.

Brother John Dornbos has been a Christian Brother for 56 years and has long experience and training in these areas. He is ready to help any who need such counseling and can be reached directly or through the faculty or counseling areas.
