DEAN OF STUDENTS

O’Dea High School, an all male Catholic secondary school in Seattle, WA, is seeking a full-time Dean of Students. The Dean of Students is responsible for student conduct and for maintaining an orderly atmosphere conducive to the school’s academic pursuits.

The Dean of Students at O’Dea High School is an active Catholic and a professional educator dedicated to the education of young men in the charism and tradition of Edmund Rice and the Christian Brothers. The Dean of Students is a caring and compassionate person who understands ministry to the adolescent male and a young man’s need to become a self-disciplined and self-motivated person and high school student in school and in the community. The Dean enthusiastically works with parents, teachers, coaches, and administrators to create a disciplined atmosphere to ensure that students understand what is expected. The Dean is just, fair and firm.

The Dean of Students is a self-motivated, organized person and role model for the school community.

The Dean of Students is a member of the Administrative Team and is accountable to the Principal. The Dean of Students is a 200 day employee. The salary is commensurate with professional degrees and experience.
