Mothers’ Club Events include the following:
Pizza Lunch Day
Starting in September, once a month for freshmen and sophomores. Pepperoni pizza may be ordered for the entire year or month to month. Order forms were sent out in the summer packet and are also available in the school office, or O’Dea Mothers’ Club website. Orders forms may be turned into the school office and must include check, money order, or exact cash amount only, no change will be given. Also, no refunds in the event your son misses school on pizza day.
Bite of O'Dea
A casual event held in the school gym. Moms bring the appetizer or dessert, and a small door prize. Get ready for an evening of laughs as we gather to raise money and enjoy good food, beverages, fun and an entertaining raffle. It is open to all mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and friends.
Open House for Prospective Students
Freshman moms host the Open House for eight grade students and their parents. A lovely display of cookies, brownies and other treats welcome our visitors in the gym. Meet, greet and help spread the good word about our incredible school.
Deck the Halls
This occurs the first Saturday in December. Meet in the library and proceed to have fun decorating the halls. The boys love coming to school the following Monday and seeing that Christmas spirit alive in the halls of O’Dea! Decorations are removed the last day of school before Christmas vacation.
Faculty Christmas Luncheon
The Mothers’ Club appreciates the faculty and staff of O’Dea High School and hosts an annual luncheon on the last day of school before Christmas vacation.
Scholarship Brunch
This is an opportunity to grow and build on the O’Dea foundation of over 80 years of academic excellence and quality catholic education. As with all Mothers’ Club fund raising events, your generosity makes it possible for students to continue their education at O’Dea in the event of a family financial crisis. A delicious catered brunch and student performances make this a memorable event you won’t want to miss!
Posh Auction
The Mothers’ Club supports this very important fund raiser by collecting gift cards from $5.00 to infinity! A huge variety of cards are packaged together and sold in the live auction as one item. A gift card drop off box is placed in the Development office for your use. If you would like a receipt for your donation, please put the gift card in an envelope, and include a note with your name the value of the card.
Graduation Reception
This reception is hosted by our underclassmen families who treat our graduating senior and their families right!! Sign up to volunteer for the joyous event. Decorating starts earlier in the day. Volunteers go out and enjoy dinner while the graduation is taking place. Return to host the hour long reception. This is an inspiring volunteer opportunity as the gym is packed with ecstatic grads and their proud families. The "feel good’ event of the year!
