O'Dea High School

Mothers’ Club

The Mothers’ Club welcomes the mothers and guardians of O’Dea students.

All mothers or guardians are automatically members of the Club, which is organized to promote the following objectives:

  • To support and grow our sense of community in a diverse school population.
  • To bring together its members in social and intellectual exchanges
  • To create meaningful opportunities for mothers and guardians to participate in the scholastic, spiritual, athletic and other extracurricular activities of our sons.
  • To continue to contribute to O’Dea’s tradition of building excellence through service,
  • To assist the school by providing funds to assist students and families in need.

Please watch for Mothers’ Club updates and announcements in the Family Bulletin throughout the year.

Volunteer Opportunities

Click here for volunteer opportunities for the 2023-2024 school year. Below are some descriptions of various volunteer opportunities available. Please contact the Mothers’ Club with any questions.

Bite of O’Dea: The Bite of O’Dea is a women’s only social event and fundraiser as well as a great place to meet other moms!  We need a chair person and a small committee to organize the invites, food, drinks, set-up and take-down for the evening.

Deck the Halls: Every year the Mothers’ Club spends a couple hours decorating the school with Christmas Cheer.  We provide the decorations and you come with your Christmas Spirit!

Christmas Family Project: O’Dea adopts a handful of families every year to help make their Christmas bright.  We need lots of parents to help the boys wrap the gifts as well as drive the gifts to the families’ homes.  It is fun to reward the boys by bringing treats that they get to enjoy after they have completed the wrapping.  Donations for this project are also happily accepted (wrapping paper, gift boxes, scissors, tape, tags).
