O’Dea Student Leaders Attend the ACTION Workshop

Three of O’Dea’s student leaders and Dublin House Dean, Mr. Will Chambers, recently attended the ACTION Student Leadership Workshop in St. Johns, Florida. O’Dea was joined by students and faculty from 14 Edmund Rice Christian Brother high schools throughout the United States and Canada. During this workshop, our students developed essential leadership skills, learned about the life and charism of Blessed Edmund Rice, and gained ideas and perspectives from their peers throughout North America. A major focus of the workshop was advocacy. Each school presented on one way in which they advocate for the poor and vulnerable in their society. The workshop was a great way for our students to realize they are part of a bigger network of Christian Brother schools who continue the work of Blessed Edmund Rice.
