Matching Gifts

Many corporations will match donations made by employees. Be sure to check with your employer and send us the appropriate paperwork or use your company’s online system. This is a great way to make the most out of your gift! Click HERE to check if your employer will match your gift.

Gifts to the O'Dea Foundation

The mission of the O’Dea Foundation is to provide assistance for charitable, religious and educational purposes, specifically but not limited to, assisting its primary beneficiary, O’Dea High School. Each year the Foundation grants a portion of its assets to O’Dea to support financial aid at our school.

Named Scholarships

Honor a loved one or an O’Dea graduating class with a scholarship fund in their name. Once the fund reaches $25,000, O’Dea will award an annual scholarship to a deserving student in financial need. The award amount is 4% of the fund’s value as of the end of each calendar year. Gifts should be made out to the O’Dea High School Foundation.

Planned Gifts - O'Dea Legacy Society

Become a member of the O’Dea Legacy Society by supporting O’Dea High School into the future through a planned gift. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure future students have the opportunity to experience the traditions and brotherhood of O’Dea. Options include:

  • Name O’Dea in your will or through a living trust.
  • Set up a trust fund to benefit your heirs and O’Dea.
Tributes and Memorials

Making tribute and memorial gifts are great ways to recognize people you love. If you make a gift in honor of a living friend or family member we will send a note to that person to let them know you made a gift in their honor.  If you make a gift in memory of someone deceased we will send a note to that person’s closest family member to let them know of your generosity.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

Donors who are at least 70.5 years old can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly to O’Dea from a qualified IRA. The gift, which can be up to $100K, can be counted towards a minimum distribution, though it is not tax deductible and cannot be counted as income.
