Track Butorac

Vince Butorac has been O’Dea’s Head Track & Field coach since 2015 after spending the previous six years as an assistant coach at O’Dea.  In his time as the head coach the Irish have won two Metro League titles, produced six individual state champions, 12 top 8 placers at state in other events, and finished each year in the top 8 at the state track meet as a team.  Coach Butorac has a total of 17 years of coaching experience (Kent and Mexico City) and ten years of experience as an athlete (Elma HS and Central Washington University). Over the course of his coaching career he has worked with throwers, sprinters, and hurdlers, but his area of expertise is coaching the jumps. Off the track, Coach Butorac serves as the Chemistry teacher at O’Dea. He and his wife Courtney have two young boys, Leo and Mario, that love to be around the track.
