O’Dea Baseball Success
The O’Dea High School baseball team has enjoyed a lot of success this past decade. Here is a brief summary of how the Fighting Irish baseball teams compare to the rest of the Metro League. O’Dea holds the record for consecutive victories with 13 in the WIAA state tournament (covering 2005-2011). In the past ten years, O’Dea is 17-5 when competing at the State Tournament, second only to Richland H.S. The Fighting Irish are first in Metro League all-time state records with an impressive record of 20-11 and winners of six regional and three state titles. In the past ten years alone, the Irish are 17-5 at state with five regional and three state titles. In comparison, the rest of the entire Metro League has played in 32 total games (11-21 record), with one regional title and zero state titles.
