Canned Food Challenge – We can do it!

Posted November 13, 2017

The canned food drive is underway! Students are bringing in canned food items to their Mentor Group to support Northwest Harvest and the people in our community who need it most. This year, we have been issued a new challenge by senior Sam Catherall. In past years, Sam has brought in thousands of pounds of food for our annual drive – nearly 2,600 pounds last year alone! So this year, our canned food drive will not only be a House competition for Service points for the Irish Cup, but also The Sam Catherall Canned Food Challenge. If the entire school can bring in 3,000 pounds (not counting Sam’s total), Principal Walker has agreed to alter our school schedule on a future date to become a Minimum Day schedule with a Relaxed Dress (plus House T-shirt) dress code for that day. Thanks to Sam’s inspiration, we can do it! The food drive will run until November 21st.
