Science Department

Dr. Lee Reinleitner
Dr. Reinleitner joined the O’Dea faculty in 1993, and is teaching Physics and Physics honors, as well as Calculus to seniors. He graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School in Portland, Oregon, has a BS from Harvey Mudd College in California, and a MS and Ph.D in Physics from the University of Iowa. Dr. Reinleitner lists computers, swimming, hiking and reading science fiction among his hobbies. Dr Reinleitner is presently writing a physics textbook.

 

Mr. Vince Butorac
Mr. Vince Butorac has been teaching and coaching track and field at O’Dea High School since 2008. He began his teaching career in Kent and later taught at an international school in Mexico City. Mr. Butorac earned both his BA and MA at Central Washington University (2000, 2005). In his free time, Mr. Butorac enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, who is a teacher at Lafayette Elementary in West Seattle, and his son Leo.

 

Br. Lindeman
O’Dea’s Principal from 1972-1974, Br. Lindeman teaches Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and assists in the Library. He began teaching at O’Dea in 1970 – 1974 and returned in 1992. He graduated from Leo High School in Chicago and has a BA in History from Iona College and an MA in Industrial Arts Education from New York University. Br. Lindeman enjoys stamp collecting in his free time.

 

Mr. Jacob Noll

Mr. Noll is in his second year of teaching at O'Dea. He teaches Biology and is an assistant freshman football coach. Mr. Noll graduated from Eastside Catholic High School, has a BS in Biology from the University of Washington, and is currently working towards a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington. Besides teaching his interests are coaching football, hiking/camping, and cooking.

 

Mr. Pat Raney
Mr. Pat Raney joined the O’Dea faculty in 1991, but has been coaching soccer at O’Dea since 1972. Mr. Raney teaches Chemistry Honors and AP Chemistry. He attended Gonzaga High School in Spokane and graduated from Seattle Prep in Seattle. Mr. Raney has a BS in Chemistry from Seattle University. He is an alumni parent and has the distinction of being the only faculty member with grandsons who graduated from O’Dea! Mr. Raney’s hobbies are genealogy, oil and water color painting and Irish heritage.
