Gurian Institute
O’Dea High School is a Gurian Model School. The Gurian Institute, founded by author and gender expert Michael Gurian, creates awareness and trains teachers and parents about how boys learn and grow differently. Gurian Model Schools employ brain research based methods of teaching to the uniqueness of male students. The young men of O’Dea strive for excellence - academically, spiritually, socially, and physically, and we help them achieve excellence by employing Gurian’s "boy-brain" teaching methods in our classrooms.
